Philosophy
Happy Days Kindergarten is committed to providing quality care and education for all children between the ages of 3-5, through a safe and caring environment that encourages fundamental learning skills and developmentally appropriate curriculum, based on the children’s individual needs and interests to help them grow and develop.
Our Aim
Happy Days is to achieve excellence in care and education, so that we can provide all children in our care the opportunity to develop to their full potential, as well as equip them with the fundamental building blocks to develop a lifelong love of learning.
Belief Statements
We believe that children learn best through play and will encourage each child in our care to engage in our play based learning program.
We believe that preparing children for a life of learning is important. We will strive to provide appropriate learning experiences for children to prepare them for formal schooling and engagement in their community.
We believe that building fundamental learning and self-help skills are important for the continued growth and development of each child and we will strive to encourage these skills to be built through our interactive program and daily routines.
We believe that each child is unique and will develop at his/her own rate and, as educators, it is our duty to encourage and program for each child’s growth and development.
We believe in providing documented outcomes of children’s growth and development based on current theory and developmental milestones.
We believe that each child’s voice is important to the Centre’s running and will encourage children in our care to make a contribution to the environment.
We believe that the individuality and cultural diversity of our Employees, Children and Families is important to the make-up of the Centre and will strive to reflect the differing diversity at our Service.
We believe that partnering with parents is important in providing the best supportive environment for each child. We will strive to participate in meaningful communication and engagement with the parents to build on their child’s growth and development.
We believe that the needs of our community are important to the growth of the Centre and will strive to provide opportunities for partnership within our local Community.
We believe that our Governing agencies are important to the overall running of our Centre by setting minimum guidelines for us to adhere and it is our duty to engage and incorporate these rules and regulations to provide a safe and secure environment.
We believe that all staff need to work as a team to create a supportive and caring environment and we respect our educators as valued team members.
We believe that our staff’s professional development is important for the overall running of the Centre and will strive to encourage Educators to engage in training courses and self reflection to help their personal growth and development.
